Amidst the funk, soul, prog, jam band flair that is Evil Urges lies "I'm Amazed." The song is classic My Morning Jacket, mining Southern rock history and making it sound fresh, "I'm Amazed" is buoyed by a great guitar riff and one hell of a sing-along chorus. The song is loud and stadium ready, perfect with an ice cold beer. It's not trying to reinvent the wheel here, but rather it's so well done that it rivals some of My Morning Jacket's finest songs. Jim James knows how to bring it and "I'm Amazed" is a carefree anthem. Try not to sing along.
