19. Fleet Foxes "Drops In the River"

It's no secret that I adore the Fleet Foxes. They're my jam. Those pastoral soundscapes, the harmonies, love them all. When I first heard their gem of an EP Sun Giant, I was completely sold partly thanks to "Drops In the River." Building gradually and giving way to a dramatic and satisfying peak, only to surprise you yet again. These finely tuned arrangements are the great secret to Fleet Foxes success. Centering around the stunning vocal harmonies, the music has vivid and eloquent variety in tone and makes it a truly pleasurable listening experience.
