17. Kanye West "Flashing Lights"

We all know that Kanye West is a great producer. The songs produced under his expertise have ranged from the stunning, soul charm of Alicia Keys' "You Don't Know My Name" to the aggro-techno sheen of his own "Stronger." One of Kanye's most polished songs is "Flashing Lights." Aping Euro-disco, paging Giorgio Moroder, "Flashing Lights" is coated with smooth synth-heavy beats and seductive female vocals. Cooley blasting the paparazzi while getting turned down by a girl, Kanye maintains his cool distance. The song lacks the immediacy of "Can't Tell Me Nothing" or "Stronger," yet it's detached coolness is part of what makes the song so great.
