The melody played by Victoria Legrand evokes a music box in the eerie, Gothic waltz, "You Came to Me." Murky and dense despite the simplicity of the music itself, "You Came to Me" has a mysterious aura and even a tinge of foreboding danger. Legrand's deep, understated vocals sound clear and powerful, benefiting from the sharper production quality. Wonderfully languid like all of Beach House's music, "You Came to Me" takes that a step further at the 1:34 mark becoming one of Beach House's most powerful songs.
