TV on the Radio's "Family Tree," or how to get me to cry at a music video

I love having crushes. Not even on people I know or see in real life. I love having crushes on people I have no chance of meeting: Ira Glass, Jon Hamm, Jeff Tweedy, etc. Right now the alpha crush is Tunde Adebimpe of TV on the Radio. I love love love love TV on the Radio but this crush has reached its apex when I saw "Rachel Getting Married" this past weekend. It is not only a really crushing film (click here for the trailer), but Tunde Adebimpe just kills me when he sings Neil Young's "Unknown Legend" during his wedding vows. How beautiful is that? Neil freaking Young, as your wedding vows. I love that.

Anyway, this evening I watched this video for "Family Tree" off of TV on the Radio's new album, Dear Science. It really is one of the most crushingly beautiful songs off of that album and while I don't know if this video is official or not, it fits so well. Appropriating an old Disney cartoon, the editing is spot-on and yes, I cried.
