Yesterday in my Art History and Critical Theory class, we sat in a lecture on art being made in Germany and Eastern Europe in the 80s. German Neo-Expressionism, art work being made under Communist regimes, etc. Then we start talking about Slovenia and the art being made there, when we come upon Laibach.
Laibach is an avant-garde band with a very particular aesthetic....I can't even do justice to it. This is a video for their cover of an Opus song, "Live is Life." We watched this in class. Seriously. It's amazing. Please enjoy.
